When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
I started around 13 years old on an Bjarton acoustic guitar. Then I got my first electric guitar when I was fifteen. My first electric guitar was an Aria Pro II Ys-500.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
Almost all types of Heavy Metal, Hardcore and Punk, but in the end it all goes back to Thrash Metal My favorite inspirations in guitar players including James Hetfield, Gary Holt, Glen Tipton, KK Downing, Akira Takasaki
How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
I have 3 guitars, A white Gibson flying-V -97, black Flying-V -83 and a ESP Eclipse. My favorite for many years is Gibson especially the Flying-V model. Because I feels so right balanced, and I like the short neck.
What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
Hmm it’s hard to tell. I think it actually don’t exist, it’s all in your finger and mind, it’s a feeling.
How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
I do not know much about modeler amps, never tried one, think is good for its purpose but I am a Tubeguy for sure 😉
Which guitars and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
All the tracks on the new album are recorded with my 97 Gibson V. Custom made pickups „Enigma“ from West Pickups into a JJ-Labs Folkesson 100w tube head. The cabinet that we used was a JJ-Labs/Folkesson V30.
When you only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
Hmm tuff one…. I will choose my White Flying-V that’s for sure.
