When You start guitar playing and do you remember Your first guitar?
Well that was a long time ago I think.. in secondary school. I tried to play on my father’s old guitar. It was so hard to play correctly and clean. I can’t remember the brand but that was a classical guitar. I remember my first electric guitar. My mother bought me a Fender SQ Stratocaster with three single pickups. That was great guitar to start playing rock and roll and have a lot of fun.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
It’s a hard question for me. When I play the guitar I always want to hear the melody. So for me all melodic guitar players are always on top. I love Joe Satrani style, Andy Timmons, or Steve Vai. When I hear exotic style of Marty Friedman I feel something new and something more mystic. I love Marco Sfogli playing and expression. From the more acoustic/jazz players I love Al Di Meola music. But in heavy metal I love the bands like Megadeth, Moonspell. and in prog vibes Opeth or Dream Theater. I try to listen to varied music.
How many guitar do you own and what are your favorite models?
Well I have a lot of instruments. About a few years ago I started working with Jackson Guitars as an Artist and up to now I play them at my gigs and studio. I love all Soloist models. The neck is very comfortable to play. I have the SL2 and SL3 versions of the 6 string soloist model, two SL7 -seven strings, and one SLAT8 -8 string. Also I have a lot of different guitars from Fender and Ibanez but mostly I use a Jackson. From 2021 I also play the Takamine acoustic and classical guitars. I have a lot of videos on my YT channel with a GC6 model and working for my new album with Takamine TAKAMINE P5J.
What do You think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
The Guitar player. He must play good and must have a lot of precision to sound good. The best amp and guitar never will be good enough without the skills.
When You only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
I don’t know 🙂 I feel different every day. Today I wanna play metal riffs on a 7 string guitar, tomorrow some kind of funky/jazz with a telecaster, and at the end of the week practice a classical piece or play a gypsy style chords with an acoustic guitar!
