My brother Jon loved the British Steel and Point Of Entry albums from Judas Priest. We used to cover songs from them and one of my favorites was „Desert Plains“, which still elicits great memories for me. Rob Halford is a legend. What more can I say? Special thanks to Rob and the guys from Judas Priest for the incredible music that inspires us to this day. On the technical side: I am calling this a live vocal cover, because I sang the song from beginning to end in one take without any vocal dubs or edits. This song fits my voice well. I sang a little too loud on my first take, which lead to vocal fatigue at the end, so I dialed it back a little for the second take. This was my second full attempt of the song. The music came from Moises (with just the lead vocal deleted). I sent my vocal track and the music track to my friend Kurdt Vanderhoof who added some effects to the vocals and blended them in with the music. Special thanks to Kurdt for his assistance.
