When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
I guess I started playing guitar at the age 12-13 and I still own my first guitar, an Aria Pro 2 RS-600 and a Pignose 30/60 (amp).
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
Musically I have a lot of major influences in bands like Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Testament and so on, but first and foremost it is AC/DC. When it comes to guitar players it kind of differs depending on mood, but there is always Malcolm Young at the top. Right now I am really into Julian Lage and Per Nilsson.
How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
I’m not really sure how many guitars I own, but it’s not that many, perhaps like 15? I am mostly playing my LOJ guitar that is built by a local guitar builder here in Ånge. I got the chance to design and build a guitar model with the specs that I like. Otherwise I am playing telecasters.
What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
It is so hard to say what makes the perfect combo of a guitar and amp. I think that if you like the feel of it all, then you should use it even if it is like a weird no name guitar/amp.
How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
Well personally I use both modelers/digital stuff, tube amps and solid state amps. I can only refer to my previous answer, if it sounds good for the purpose that you will use it in, then use it.
Which guitars and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
A lot….. No but for the most part I used a mix of Neural DSP software (Fortin Cali, Archetype Gojira and Soldano SLO-100). And with PRS MT 15, Hughes & Kettner, Mesa Boogie (both through cabinets and through Torpedo X reactive load box). As for guitars I used (for the most parts) my LOJ guitar, Fender Telecaster and Epiphone Explorer.
When you only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
I have to go with my LOJ guitar.
