When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
My first guitar was a Yamaha FG-45 1975 3/4 size at 8 years old.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
Influences, well there is quite a few, Jimmy Page, the first time I heard the solo to Stairway to Heaven i knew what I wanted to do. Roy Buchannon is a favorite along with John McLaughlin. John is the only guitar player in my eyes that always exceeds his last project.

How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
How many guitars do I own, well quite a bit of them. I’m a collector, some of my favorites, Acoustic 1997 Breedlove C-20 Electrics. I have a Gibson Les Paul model that has a tripple Aaa top Chambered Body and Mini Humbuckers Gibson made 2 for me in 2007 . Stratocasters, I’m a fan of the Japanese Fender Strats 1997 and 1984 St-67-68’s, the build quality and stability are incredible. The electronics have been upgraded to Peter Florence lefty 68 pickups and my Telecasters are a Fender USA 52 Hot Rod with a mini humbucker and a James Trussart Steelcaster.

What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
Category 5 Made an amp for me called a Tracy Solid State Rectifier with 6l6’s a fifty watt based on an old Fender 1968 deluxe that was modified by Cezar Diaz ages ago , Cad 5 knocked this build out of the park for me ..

How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
Modeling amps in my opinion haven’t captured the true tube sound yet. I rely so much on the latency and breath of Tubes in my mind there is no replacement.

Which guitars and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
On my new Cd “Raise Your hands “ I used the Fender 52 Hot Rod Telecaster and the James Trussart Steelcaster and well as an Enrico Savoncelli custom electric resonator guitar. Along with my Category 5 amp and my trusted Flattley pedals, 2 Flattley Revolution Overdrives, Flattley Ace Boost and a Flattley custom Wah Wah.

When you only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
I couldn’t live without my hot Rod 52 Telecaster
