When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
I started playing guitar when I was 6 years old. My first guitar was my dad’s 125 Gibson — left handed.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
My favorite guitar player is Carlos Santana. He’s a dear friend now which is wild since I always admired him when I was coming up. He is so inspiring. My other favorite guitar players are Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Steve Vai.
How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
I have a very healthy collection. My favorite models are my signature models through PRS guitars and my Gibson signature J200.

What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
It’s what is comfortable to you and what best suits the show or tune you are recording. I love my PRS guitars and Orange amp Rockerverb Mark 3.

How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
I don’t like them very much except for use in the studio. They are cool, but I need a real amp.
