When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
I started playing when I was 13. I bought my first guitar off a friend of my older brother, it was a black Aria, Les Paul Replica.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your faves?
My biggest influences as a guitar player are probably Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads and Jimmy Page. They are all faves, but I also want to add Eddie Van Halen as a favorite, what an amazing player!

How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
I own a Gibson SG Custom, a Gibson Flying V, a Gibson RD Standard ReIssue 2007, a 1978 Fender Strat USA, and a Martin acoustic. The SG and the Flying V are my favorite ones. They resonate really well to my style of playing and are both very well-played.
What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
The combination. The perfect guitar and amp are those that sound the best together and gives you exactly the sound that you are after.

How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
To me, that is easy. I am a tube guy. I never played a modeler amp that gave the same response as the Marshall and Orange tube amps I use. But I recently heard about the Neuro DSP system that is supposedly very good. I plan to give it try soon to see if it can compete.

Which guitars and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
The guitars on our new album Born Demon were recorded through an Orange AD30 head and a Marshall Super Lead head. I also used a Marshall JCM800 for some lead parts.
When you only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
Tough question, but I wish for a Gibson Explorer, that is on top of my list right now.
