When you start guitar playing and do you remember your first guitar?
I started when i was 15 years old, i worked in my school holidays at a farmers place picking berries to save up for my first guitar, a Sanox strat style guitar with 2 single coils.. boy i was so happy 🙂
What are your influences and which guitar players are your favs?
Always difficult, to many to name. 🙂 i think Alex Lifson, Gary Moore,Van Halen,, Neal Shon, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Satriani, Holdsworth, Eric Johnson…and the list goes on:) all the usual suspects.
How many guitars do you own and what are your favorite models?
I own about 15 instruments and that includes 2 acoustic, 2 basses, 11 electrics. I love traditional instruments, most of the time i play strat or a les paul.. as for whammybar style i love to use my charvel fusion dlx and a ibanez js1000. Also have a doubleneck for the more traditrional 70 style symfo rock that i perform with SRN…i love them all.. but i think the strats are the ones i use most of the time.
What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
Yes, that depends really on the type of gig I have to do, not allowed to come with 2x 4/12 cab with 2 100-watt heads in the theater 😂… little bit overdone for that one 🙂 so it all depends on the style of the show and venue that you have to play.
How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amp?
I love both, for reheasals and rockshows i prefer amps. for recording or theater i prefer modelers.
Which guitars and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
Yes pretty simple setup, for guitar the js1000 and for ampsound i used the Neural DSP Soldano amp plug-in, really killer stuff!!.
When you only can choose one guitar, which one will you take?
I think i would take my tabaco strat..:)
