When did you start playing guitar and do you remember your first guitar?
I started playing guitar when I was around 12 or 13 years old, and my first guitar was an Eastman archtop.
What are your influences and which guitar players are your favs?
The players that inspire me the most are Yngwie Malmsteen, Paganini, Joe Stump, Richie Blackmore, John Petrucci, Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Michael Romeo, Michael Angelo Batio, Jason Richardson, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, Rusty Cooley, and James Moody.
How many guitars do you own and your favorite make and model?
I own around 7 guitars. I have two Gibson hummingbirds one 6 string and one 12 string, an Epiphone Flying V that was custom painted by me, a Strat that was custom painted by me, a Gibson double neck SG custom painted by me, and two custom guitars from DC CUSTOM GUITARS whom I have an endorsement with. One is a Strat style guitar and the other is Dean Casciones custom design called The Evolin. I love custom guitars the most because I love being able to decide on the exact specs I want. I also love being able to customize the body by painting it. I do also enjoy playing Jackson Flying V’s and Ibanez RG’s from the 90’s.
What do you think makes the perfect guitar and amp?
I really couldn’t say. Every player is different. Every genre is different. There are general tone expectations for each genre so it’s difficult to say. For metal I personally love the sound of a Marshall with an Ibanez tube screamer and little delay with one of my custom guitars.
How do you feel about the question of modeler or tube amps?
I think both have their benefits. Tube amps have a very unique sound that you can only get from tube amps but modeler amps are great to because they are so convenient and the tones you can get are pretty amazing!
Which guitar and amps were used on your album/ song?
For my first single Ascension I used my custom Evolin from DC CUSTOM GUITARS through TSE 50 recorded in Reaper.
When you can only choose one guitar which one will you take?
