This article series is about the tools of popular guitarists. What are their favorite guitars and how is it related to them? This time with Emil Norberg.

I´m Emil Norberg from Persuader and Long Shadows Dawn ( my new project with Doogie White).
These are my two main guitars that I use for recording and live use. I usually buy and sell guitars off and on for specific purposes but these two will stay forever.
The Ibanez is an 1077XL that I´ve owned for 20 plus years. It´s extended scale is great for getting a tight metal tone. I have replaced the bridge pick up to a Lundgren M7. Nowadays I mostly use it for rythm guitars and maybe some leads but not solos. It has been used on all Persuader albums. Fun fact: The pink pick up switch is from a JEM77FP I used to own.
The Caparison is a Dellinger and I got it from Caparison a few months ago and I have to say it ios a spectacular intrument. All stock and I will keep it that way. Their own pick ups sound really good for the music I play and I really like the whole set up with no tone knob. Great finish and overall quality! I am really looking forward to recording the next Persuader albums with this and I will probably be getting a 6-string for the foolow up album with Doogie.
