When you start bass playing and do you remember your first bass?
I started playing in 2002. I was always a guitar player before that. My first bass was a 1966 Fender Precision. It was the best first bass anyone could ask for.
What are your influences and which bass players are your favs?
Cliff Burton, Steve Harris, Gene Simmons, Geezer Butler, Phil Lynott
How many basses do you own and what are your favorite models?
I actually only own my flying V basses. I sold all of the other ones I ever had. I have 5 flying V basses. Three of them are made by Vantage in Japan in 1981, and the other two are my signature model from Jailbreak Guitars. The JL-81
What do you think makes the perfect bass and amp?
It’s different for everyone and every kind of style. What matters most is how you play, not the amp or bass.
Which basses and amps were used on the new album or for recordings?
My Jailbreak JL-81 signature flying V bass, and an Xotic BB Preamp into a Matrix 1600 Power amp into a custom 4×12 cabinet with celestion 200W speakers.
When you only can choose one bass, which one will you take?
Always my signature Jailbreak JL-81 Flying V
