Amarok is a Polish art-rock music project founded in 1999 by guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Michał Wojtas and guitarist Bartosz Jackowski. Between 2001 and 2004 Amarok released three international albums. Since 2003, the formation transformed into Michał’s solo project.

The band Amarok has over 20 years of experience in the music market, with six studio releases, of which "Hunt", released in 2017, made the band widely known, not only in Poland but also abroad. Extremely atmospheric, balanced, and filled with Floyd nostalgia music takes listeners on a journey to the world of sounds conjured up by real musical shamans, which Michał and Marta Wojtas undoubtedly are. Special guests were Colin Bass (Camel) and Mariusz Duda (Riverside, Lunatic Soul).

In 2019 Michal collaborated with British choreographer James Wilton which resulted in Amarok’s fifth album – ‘The Storm’ for the show of the same name. As of 2021, Amarok has expanded its line-up with two more musicians – Konrad Zielinski (dr) and multi-instrumentalist Kornel Poplawski. Amarok’s sixth album, “Hero”, was released in autumn 2021.

2024 brings another release titled Hope. It contains ten ambitious, high-level compositions, developed over two decades and for sure it will not disappoint fans of such art. With the seventh album in his discography, Amarok proves that the band can experiment and play with genres while maintaining a high level.

Amarok have played live on the same stage with Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Gazpacho, Bjørn Riis, Riverside and other bands.
