Die UK Rockszene betitelt Cold Years als DIE nächste große britische Rockband. Mit ihrem ganz eigenem Stil, der UK Indie mit US Rock und Americana vereint, erreichen sie nicht zuletzt durch ihre Texte Fans in UK, Europa und Nordamerika. Fans von The Gaslight Anthem, Against Me, Biffy Clyro, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Amazons und Bruce Springsteen können sich auf das kommende Album freuen. 2018 wurde die Band im Visions Magazin Newcomer des Monats. Auf dem Oakfield Festival 2018 waren sie „secret“ Headliner und das Noisehausen Festival 2018 sagte über Cold Years: „Hervorragende Live-Band und coole Jungs!“
