ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN veröffentlicht heute ihre neue EP „La Mort“. Zusammen mit ihrer achtköpfigen Band setzt die niederländische Sängerin und Songwriterin damit in vier Songs die Klangreise fort, die sie vergangenes Jahr bereits mit „La Vie“ begonnen hat. Beide EPs sind Teil des größeren Triptychon-Projekts „La Vie, La Mort, L’Amour“.

Zum Record Store Day am 18. April erscheint „La Mort“ in limitierter Auflage auf Vinyl.
„I’m incredibly happy with how the second part of the trilogy turned out“, so Anneke. „This time, we developed my rough demos over the course of a single, uninterrupted week together with several members of my live band. That’s less common these days, but it really puts you in a shared bubble, and we recorded the bulk of the material during that time. In the weeks that followed, we added a few more parts, but tracks like ‚Red Sky‘ and ‚Fade In Fade Out‘ have definitely retained that live feel.“
Im Herbst wird Anneke die neue Musik europaweit live präsentieren. Im Rahmen der neu angekündigten Tour wird sie auch für vier Konzerte nach Deutschland kommen. „In recent years I’ve performed abroad frequently, but this will be the first time in a decade that I’m heading outside the Netherlands with my eight-piece live band for a run of shows. I’m incredibly excited about it“, freut sich Anneke. „We’ll be playing a selection of songs from my most recent releases, but audiences can also expect a series of highlights spanning my entire catalogue.“
