On February 20 – Andrea An will release her alt-metal anthem „Save You“
„Save You“ is Andrea An’s most intimate release to date — a pop/alternative-rock song written in memory of her late mother, exploring the raw weight of grief, love, and the quiet guilt of wishing she could have done more. Rooted in emotive storytelling, the track gives voice to the longing, helplessness, and self-blame that often follow loss, holding space for complexity rather than closure. Musically, Save You draws from the sounds that shaped Andrea’s life — Vietnamese rock, Japanese anime soundtracks, and North American pop/alternative-rock — and will be released in three languages: English, Vietnamese, and Japanese. The trilingual approach reflects both her cultural identity and her commitment to creating music where multiple histories and emotions can coexist.
Andrea An is a Vietnamese-Canadian pop/alternative-rock artist and co-owner of Saskatoon’s Nolita Studios, where she records and produces her work alongside producer Jesse Weiman while leading the creative direction behind every release. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, she began piano at six and later taught herself guitar, laying the foundation for a multidisciplinary career that spans music, photography, and video. Her debut album Bloom ranked #7 on SaskMusic’s Best Saskatchewan Albums of 2022, and her work has earned major festival appearances, multiple Music Video of the Year nominations, and recognition as a two-time SCMA Emerging Artist nominee. Andrea continues to carve out a distinct space in the Canadian pop/alternative-rock landscape — creating music that connects listeners not only to her story, but to their own.
