| In 2025, STORM was nominated for The Norwegian Publishing awards in the category Breakthrough of the Year, followed later that year by the release of his debut album Join the Storm. Alongside traditional platforms, he has built a rapidly growing global audience through social media, particularly on TikTok, where his videos have reached millions of views.
The journey to the Norwegian Eurovision final also known as Melodi Grand Prix has been one of anticipation and secrecy.
„The announcement has been completely insane. I actually got the call back in March 2025 and had to keep it secret until now,“ he explains. „It’s been torture in the best possible way. Finally letting it out feels unreal. I’ve been walking around with this bomb in my pocket for almost a year.“
For STORM, the experience of competing in Norway’s biggest music television event is as thrilling as the performance itself.
„I’m excited for everything. The whole circus. Backstage, the crowd, the chaos, the adrenaline, that moment right before you walk on stage. All of it.“
Raised in Trondheim, STORM has been involved in music from an early age, starting his first band at just eight years old. Standing on the Melodi Grand Prix stage now feels almost unreal.
„I’m a 17-year-old alternative artist from Trondheim. I’ve been making music for as long as I can remember. Thinking about standing on the MGP stage now is completely wild.“
As the sole heavy act in the Norwegian final, STORM brings a distinct edge to the competition.
„People can expect energy. Chaos. Emotions,“ he says. „You can expect a STORM.“
With „Lullaby,“ STORM is not only releasing a new single, but challenging expectations of what Eurovision selection entrys can sound like. At just 17, he is ready to prove that his music gave a place on Europe’s biggest stage, even before the final decision is made. |
